Man, every day is a holiday here at KOWZ! President's Day yesterday, MARDI GRAS TODAY, Lent tomorrow! What a fun packed week. Craig and I have decided what we are giving up for Lent- I am giving up on love, and Craig is giving up SNOWMOBILING! Have a safe and fun Mardi Gras! Go eat some Jambalaya, or King Cake! Hello all!
Ladies and gentlemen- It's President's Day! Many have the day off of work today, but if you are like Craig and I, it's just another manic Monday, and yes, we do wish it was Sunday. I went out to a concert this weekend and got a nice $42 parking ticket, and Craig made it out to the Wild game where he was served many beers...so both of us could have used a little extra sleep. What's that saying-No rest for the wicked!? :) Anyways, radio doesn't sleep! Happy President's Day, everybody! We hope you all had a great weekend. There were a lot of fun local events over the weekend, and it sounds like many of them were a success! We always like to keep you up to date on all the upcoming local events that come our way on our Community Calendar segment, weekday mornings at 8:20am- and as always here on the Morning Show blog at KOWZFM.COM! Thanks for being awesome! Craig and I do it daily. Awesomeness and modesty are our defining qualities...

It's Wednesday, "hump day" :) This used to be my favorite day of the week until I became an adult with one full time and two part time jobs! Now my favorite day of the week is Friday. Well, every other Friday. We hope you had a great Valentine's Day! But the day of love is over, back to cruel reality. Actually, it's a gorgeous day outside! Craig and I have so much fun with our Morning Show. Bringing you the latest Entertainment and Local News every weekday morning! For example, Kelly Ripa's visible nipple's in her Stella McCartney 'miracle' dress on Live! with Kelly the other morning... Viewers e-mailed in complaining about it, it was hilarious. 20 Facebook users who had mistaken Whitney Houston for Oprah Winfrey, and don't forget the gaggle of kids Tweeting during the Grammy's who didn't know who Paul McCartney was. Hey kids, he's Stella McCartney's DAD, you know the fashion designer? Oh, also, he was in this band- super popular in the 60's, you might have heard of them, they were called the BEATLES with an A, like "beat." Give me a break!

Jennifer Hudson gave a chilling performance of 'I Will Always Love You' to a silent crowd. Taylor Swift received a standing ovation after her performance of her song 'Mean.' My daughter absolutley loves her! And my favorite, Bon Iver, won best new artist! What an amazing night in Music!
